Week 5

This week for my blog post I chose to do the song that we listened to in class today that caught my attention, and that song is Tennessee Waltz by Patti Page. For some reason when this song played in class it automatically caught my attention. I think Patti Page had such a unique tone to her voice that drew in a lot of people and that's why this song made it to the #1. I think she has such a unique way of crooning while singing that was addictive to a lot of people. 

I love the fact that she introduced the idea of this new technology that would allow artists to duet themselves. The beginning of the song reminds me of one of the old school songs that were played in the background of captain America-a song that just makes everyone immediately happy. In short, this song just sounds like a good memory.
