Week 7

For this week, I chose to do my music blog on the song, "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag" by James Brown. The main thing that drew me to do my blog on this song is the overall beat and energy of the song. This song, I imagine would be the talk of the town. It makes me want to dance, its got that type of energy and level of energy. I have been to a couple parties where they start playing this song, and the energy in the room would just get so built up and we would all start dancing and having so much fun.

I like how the lyrics are entertaining to listen to, and they are really innocent. It is about how "he's got a brand new bag" and how he is having the time of his life. I really enjoyed listening to this song. I had already heart it a lot before, but it was fun to listen to it multiple times and listen even closer to the lyrics. It makes the song so much more fun when you understand the lyrics and are familiar with the notes. I love this song!
